We have partnered with top music schools – the Royal College of Music, Berklee, and Curtis Institute – to create an online lesson platform currently used by thousands of musicians around the world.

Music lessons are a $150B+ global industry, but there is no trusted consumer brand in the space yet. Our technology, including industry-leading audio, allows musicians to do their best teaching online. Forte’s mission is to expand access to high quality music teachers, allowing anyone to invest with confidence in instrument lessons.


Position Description

Forte is hiring an experienced, full-stack growth marketer who can profitably scale usage on both sides of Forte’s two-sided marketplace (teachers and students). This is an opportunity to join a fully remote team with an exciting mission and competitive cash and equity compensation.

We are looking for someone to conceptualize and execute on growth and retention strategies, including strategic partnerships, content creation/distribution, and incentive programs. You will have full responsibility for generating growth by developing strategies and marketing campaigns that drive brand, product, and business objectives.


Duties and responsibilities include:

    • Leading marketing partnerships with our educational and industry partners
    • Creating channel-specific marketing content (blog posts, emails, social media, etc.)
    • Own end-to-end funnel for teachers and students, testing and optimizing tactics for customer acquisition/retention and conversion rate optimization, with a focus on hitting success metrics such as CPA, ROI, and LTV
    • Testing and optimizing tactics for customer acquisition/retention and conversion rate optimization, with a focus on hitting CPA, ROI, and LTV goals
    • Conducting and presenting competitive analyses and market research
    • Proposing creative new approaches for capturing existing demand
    • Translating ideas to actionable items that deliver business results
    • Keeping abreast with the latest trends and changes in UI/UX and digital marketing
    • Identifying industry trends and insights



Here’s what we’re looking for:

    • 5-10 years experience as a growth marketer with a track record of scaling early stage consumer-facing companies, ideally with experience growing both sides of a marketplace
    • In-depth knowledge of SEO factors and key algorithm updates
    • Hands-on experience with web analytics, A/B testing tools, and paid acquisition through social media campaigns and other methods
    • Domain expertise in UI/UX best practices
    • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
    • High standards of excellence and attention to detail
    • Ideally: Experience hiring and managing a marketing team
